LOCATIONS
These are places of interest to be used at your disposal during gameplay. Please note that there may be in-game locations created in the future. Any suggestions for future locations are welcomed, as are pictures for current locations already posted. Also, a map of the city will be provided later on if we can get someone with drawing skills.
Most employees of these places are NPCs in the system, but your characters can feel free to get jobs at any of these places as well.
Temples:
There is one temple at each corner of the city and between them is a magic wall/barrier that surrounds the entire city. Each of the four temples corresponds with a different state of the heart. Each temple has a stained glass window and when lit the temple will influence the entire city in varying degrees. When a temple is entered, the person entering will experience the state associated with that temple. No one has been able to enter a lit temple, since the doors seal while the temple is lit.
La Colère - The first temple relates to anger or any other, similarly, passionate emotion. The building itself is black with a large stained glass window depicting a heart surrounded by flames. Inside, there are brightly coloured rugs scattered across the floor and scattered across those are pillows large enough for a person to lay on. All the rugs and pillows are in shades of red and orange. Finally, in the centre of the building is an altar with an inextinguishable flame on it.
La Mélancolie - The second temple is related to melancholy or any other similar kind of emotional suffering. The building is black and has a large stained glass window depicting a heart partially submerged in a river. Inside, there are hundreds of blue chairs lined up in a circle around a pool of water. Above the pool, rain seems to come from no where and the sound of falling rain fills the entire building; however, the pool never overflows.
La Joie - The third temple is related to joy or any other similar feeling of elation. The building is entirely white with a large, round stained glass window depicting a heart surrounded by clouds. Inside, the building is filled a sweet smelling mist and bright beams of light shine in from hundreds of rows of small windows. In the centre of the building a large crystal ring is set into the floor and above that floats a single cloud that appears in a spectrum of colours.
La Peur - The final temple is related to fear or any other similar emotion. The building is white with a large, round stained glass window depicting a heart buried and surrounded by tree roots. Inside, long green drapes hang from the ceiling. The drapes are all different sizes, but since there are so many the centre of the room cannot be seen without first passing through the drapes. In the centre is a ring of damp earth with a bottomless pit in the middle. From this pit endless screams can be heard.
Hotels and Other Lodgings:
D'or Crescent – A crescent-shaped area containing various chains of upper-class hotels. You'll need to have a very good job or find a way to get nice munny if you want to stay in these places:
The Mas Corrida – The Mas Corrida is one of many hotels in the Royal Crescent area. It is of the highest social class, and has the utmost accommodations and service. It has twenty floors.
The Dusk - This hotel is extravagant, but not as much as the Mas Corrida. Various different chains of the Dusk hotels include the Illumine, the Monolith, and the Illustrine. They all are ten floors high.
Feuille d'Argent - This small apartment complex is near the center of the city and has the picture of a silver leaf on it sign. It is a happy medium for those who have had a regular job for a couple weeks at least and have enough munny saved up to start renting. There are four floors, and each floor has forty rooms.
Lit de Bronze - For those who have just entered the city and have nobody to stay with, this is where they will end up staying. The beds creak, the mattresses are hard, but the price is cheap, and a small bathroom and mediocre coffee is included.
Restaurants:
Facciata’s Gourmet Italian – Italian food that will be the most savory food you will ever taste. The family recipes are a well-kept secret, and everyone seems to be after the founder’s recipe book that nobody seems to know all of. Stop by and see for yourself!
Bisou Bisou Novelty Foods – A large shop with the most fascinating foods imaginable, ranging from fragile glass sugar sculptures, to chocolate towers and edible marble statues that seem to defy the laws of existence. Stop by and try the confections yourself and behold their wonder.
Caféis Café – A large café chain found everyone on the streets—they do have wonderful coffees and pastries, after all. Stop by and have a taste of something unique when you have the chance. You won’t regret it.
Nón Bakery – A fantastic bakery that has two locations in Faciatta. It’s rumored to have breads, cakes, and berukas that will keep you coming!
Mi Piace – A fine restaurant located in the heart of Faciatta that has the most expensive, gourmet foods. It is a little eccentric, though, so be ready to experience something out of the ordinary when you visit!
Jewelers and Marketplaces:
Majestic Fine Jewelers – It’s just as the name states: the finest jewelers in Faciatta! You'll find everything from your special rock, to necklaces, bracelets, and solid gold. Stop by and see what you’ll find!
Cornerstone’s Rare Trinkets – Cornerstones has been around for quite some time, making it a gold mine for little rare trinkets and knick-knacks. You never know what you’ll find here. Chances are they have exactly what you’re looking for.
Regal Bistro – Another one of Faciatta’s finer restaurants. This chain has been established all over, and it’s hard not to find a location. They’re famous for their Romano fettuccine pasta, so stop by and try a plateful or two!
Zenith Market – This market is very large, and there is a plethora of shops inside of the large area. Grocers, pawn shops, restaurants, cafes, and theaters are among the many different building types that occupy the market.
The Black Mask – Across from the Zenith Market square, The Black Mask is almost like a marketplace for dark arts. Rare and valuable objects can be found, purchased, and sold in this marketplace, but be wary when you enter! It is a dark place, after all.
Entertainment and Theaters:
Falsais Theatre – One of two theaters located in Faciatta, this location is extremely elegant in it’s baroque design with hand-painted murals and Greek paintings adorning the high ceilings. It’s truly a sight to behold. This theater produces plays and short skits. Shows are held daily, and schedule is displayed on the theater’s outer perimeter.
ACT Theatre – A theater that resembles the Falsais to a T—only it displays different varieties of shows. One may view magic shows, musicals, professional talent shows, and various other forms of entertainment.
La Galerie Par Coeur - From ancient Greek works of art to the most modern of paintings, the Galerie boasts art from every time period. It may not be, but it all looks original. The only thing you have to remember in the big Galerie is that while time seems to stand still inside, life's going on without you outside. Navigators will feel free to help you further in, or find a way out. You just have to trust them...that won't be too hard, right?
Clubs/Brothels:
Masquerade Ball – This elegant area is a magnificent marble-floored ballroom turned brothel. The walls are decorated with eccentric designs, and this place is eager to please. The brothel also contains a bar on the west wing.
Luminescence – A bar based on the theme of light. Brightly colored crème couches, stools, tables and chandeliers adorn the building, giving it a light, airy feel. It is a bit pricey, though!
Obscuro – A bar opposite of the Luminescence. This bar has the complete opposite theme—darkness. Granite counters, dark stools, leather and suede couches and dimmed lights are the décor for this club.
